bôa returns to Germany for double gig dates

British alternative rock band bôa return to Germany for double dates in April 2026!

The band’s breakout came in 1998 with the release of “Duvet”, their most famous song, which became the opening theme of the acclaimed Japanese anime series Serial Experiments Lain. The exposure introduced the band to a wide international audience, especially in Japan, where they quickly gained a devoted following. That same year, they released their debut album The Race of a Thousand Camels (1998, Japan-only release). It showcased their eclectic sound, balancing atmospheric rock ballads with trip-hop rhythms and melodic alt-rock.

After a break-up in 2005, the band went on a long hiatus, they returned in 2017 when they released the “Duvet 20th Anniversary Edition”, celebrating the enduring legacy of their iconic song. The track found new life on streaming services, introducing bôa to younger audiences who discovered them decades after their debut, due to frequent use of their music on social media.

In April 2026, the band return to play two dates in Germany:

  • 21 April at Uebel & Gefährlich, Hamburg
  • 26 April at Bürgerhaus Stollwerck, Cologne

About J.N.

Music researcher with an unhealthy passion for music and music festivals. Former studio owner, semi-functional drummer and with a fairly good collection of old analogue synthesizers from the 70's. Indie rock, post rock, electronic/industrial and drum & bass (kind of a mix, yeah?) are usual stuff in my playlists but everything that sounds good will fit in.
