Formed in Dublin in 2024, Bleech 9:3 are an Irish alternative-rock band built around a remarkable story of friendship, recovery and reinvention. Songwriters Barry “Baz” Quinlan and Sam Duffy first met while both were navigating recovery from addiction, discovering a shared musical vision that would eventually become the foundation of the band. They were later joined by Barry’s brother James Quinlan on bass and Luke O’Neill on drums. The quartet subsequently relocated to London, turning their experiences into songs that are as emotionally direct as they are musically explosive.
Their sound draws on grunge, alternative rock, post-punk and flashes of nu-metal, combining heavy guitar textures with sharp melodies and deeply personal lyrics. Tracks such as “Ceiling,” “Jacky,” “Cannonball” and “Figure 8” have established the band as one of the more exciting new names on the Irish and UK alternative scene. Their self-titled debut EP arrived in May 2026.
Bleech 9:3 have also developed a reputation as a powerful live act, with major festival appearances and sold-out headline shows demonstrating that their intensity translates particularly well to the stage.
In April 2027, Bleech 9:3 bring their raw guitars, emotional intensity and uncompromising live energy to Lido, promising an evening for anyone drawn to alternative rock with both grit and heart. Expect a band still building momentum, and sounding increasingly impossible to ignore.
