Auckland, get ready for a bigger night. Following huge demand for tickets, Olivia Dean’s Auckland stop on her The Art of Loving Tour has been upgraded from Spark Arena to the newly transformed Western Springs Bowl on 17 October. The move to the iconic open-air venue gives fans the chance to experience one of Britain’s most exciting soul-pop artists in a spectacular new setting.
The upgrade reflects the growing momentum around Dean, whose warm, sophisticated blend of soul, pop and R&B has turned her into one of the UK’s standout contemporary artists. Her 2023 debut album, Messy, earned a Mercury Prize nomination and established her as a distinctive songwriter with an unmistakably intimate voice.
Since then, Dean has gone from strength to strength. Her second album, The Art of Loving, expands her sound while exploring the many dimensions of love. Tracks including “Man I Need”, “Nice to Each Other” and “So Easy (To Fall in Love)” showcase her ability to make modern soul music feel both timeless and deeply personal.
Raised in East London and a graduate of the BRIT School, Dean began her career performing with artists including Rudimental before stepping out on her own. Her combination of emotional honesty and natural stage presence has since taken her from intimate clubs to major international stages.
Now, Auckland gets the chance to see Dean at Western Springs Bowl, in what promises to be a defining night of her The Art of Loving Tour. The venue upgrade only adds to the sense that this is a show not to miss.
Joining Dean across the tour is Papua New Guinean-born Australian neo-soul artist Kaiit, making this an evening built around soulful vocals, irresistible grooves and two distinctive contemporary voices.
