‘We’ve gained more credibility by sticking around’: Interview with Simple Plan

‘Nothing Changes’ – not only the name of Canadian pop-punk icons Simple Plan’s new song accompanying their brand new Prime Video documentary ‘Simple Plan: The Kids In The Crowd’, but also reflecting the way I will always feel about my favorite band.

25 years on the band from Quebec is experiencing a new surge of success after going through many highs and lows for almost three decades. I got to go down memory lane with Chuck, addressing the choices the guys made early on in their career, how ‘Perfect’ transformed the relationship the band had with their fans, and what he learned from one of Simple Plan’s biggest fans – his dad!

About Sophie Dobschall

German-bred, London-based, not American. Likes high quality banter and video interviews with a dash of photo pit. Sad songs are the best songs, especially within pop-punk, emo & alternative. Andrew W.K.’s party tips should be anyone’s life philosophy. Does not care that you hate her favorite band, Canadian pop-punk legends Simple Plan. Fight me.
