Taking Back Sunday talk about “Twenty” and early Europe and Germany memories

Sophie Dobschall August 27, 2019

I remember finding out about Taking Back Sunday through the CD booklet of Simple Plan’s “No Pads, No Helmets, …Just Balls” when I was about 14 years old, going on to purchase “Tell All Your Friends” a short time after. “Cute Without The E” and “You’re So Last Summer” were absolute anthems of my youth and with Taking Back Sunday’s latest full length record “Tidal Wave” they’ve released some of the strongest albums in the scene in 2016. “Death Wolf” and “You Can’t Look Back” are actually timeless rock tracks that beg to be blasted as loud as human eardrums can handle.

I had the chance to hang out with Shaun, Mark, and later John Nolan (who had to endure the longest cab ride ever and hilariously crashed our interview) and talked about their earliest Europe and Germany memories, as well as their latest release “Twenty” which celebrates their 20 years of being in a band and includes the brand new “All Ready To Go” and “A Song For Dan”, as well as the iconic “Death Wolf” lyric video… And of course after finishing their insane touring schedule, they’ll be back in the studio. Next stop: 30 year anniversary tour?
