Shoegazing Cryogeyser announce German dates on the back of their 2025 self-titled album

The genesis of Cryogeyser begins with Marom, who’d played in different bands on each coast of America before forming this new project with friend, co-writer and bassist Hunter Martinez, who both bonded over similar experiences of trauma that were addressed in song. Drummer/producer Jeremy McLennan completed the lineup that released Glitch in 2019. Early tracks like “Leach” and “Marie” off Glitch set the stage for an ambitious duology of albums in 2020 and 2021 (Love Is Land and Timetetheredtogether).

The band didn’t release anything more for three years, during which the lineup dramatically shifted twice: Martinez left and was replaced first by bassist Will Kraus (who’s recorded several shoegaze albums as Kraus) and drummer Nich Santana of Slow Hollows. When work on the group’s fourth, self-titled album was completed, Marom was joined by bassist Samson Klitsner and drummer/producer Zach CapittiFenton. Cryogeyser, addressing more trauma and loss with a slightly more focused sonic palette, was described by Marom as the project’s most collaborative effort yet. They supported it on tour with acts like Wednesday (whose singer Karly Hartzman sings on the track “Mountain”), Horse Jumper of Love, and Pond.

In September, the band stop over in Germany for three dates:

  • 4 September at MTC, Cologne
  • 5 September at Turmzimmer, Hamburg
  • 6 September at Lark, Berlin

About J.N.

Music researcher with an unhealthy passion for music and music festivals. Former studio owner, semi-functional drummer and with a fairly good collection of old analogue synthesizers from the 70's. Indie rock, post rock, electronic/industrial and drum & bass (kind of a mix, yeah?) are usual stuff in my playlists but everything that sounds good will fit in.
