Amsterdam post-punks Marathon embark on European tour with their debut album “Fading Image”, playing three dates in Germany

Born from spontaneous jam sessions, Marathon’s founding members Kay Koopmans, Lennart van Hulst, and Nina Lijzenga first crossed paths in the shadows of high school. Their journey eventually led them to Amsterdam, where they navigated a labyrinth of genres, before uncovering their unique identity.

Known for their gripping live performances, Marathon in recent years has taken to the stages of major festivals like Best Kept Secret, Grauzone, and Supersonic’s Block Party in Paris.

In April this year, they released their debut album Fading Image and announced a tour across Europe with three dates in Germany:

  • 04.06.2025 Husum – Speicher
  • 05.06.2025 Hamburg – Molotow
  • 06.06.2025 Cologne – MTC

About J.N.

Music researcher with an unhealthy passion for music and music festivals. Former studio owner, semi-functional drummer and with a fairly good collection of old analogue synthesizers from the 70's. Indie rock, post rock, electronic/industrial and drum & bass (kind of a mix, yeah?) are usual stuff in my playlists but everything that sounds good will fit in.
