The Bug Club hits the road and swing by Germany for three dates

The Bug Club’s name does a good job of introducing the band and their music: a tight-knit, collaborative effort focussed on telling tales of the everyday that we often take for granted, shot through with humour and riffs-a-plenty.

The Bug Club have today announced their Irish tour following the release of their latest double album, Rare Birds: Hour of Song. ‘We Can’t All Play Saxophones’ comes hot on the heels of the BBC 6 Music play-listed ‘Marriage’, and offers a gentler side to the band. Albeit a gentler side that’s all too eager to remind us all of our musical inadequacies. Fortunately, the band don’t seem to have any such inadequacies of their own, and this single sets the tone for an upcoming album packed with memorable Bug Club nuggets.

In August 2024, they released their third studio album On The Intricate Inner Workings Of The System, and in May they swing by Germany for three tour dates.

• 5 May at Privatclub, Berlin
• 6 May at Molotow, Hamburg
• 7 May at Blue Shell, Cologne

About J.N.

Music researcher with an unhealthy passion for music and music festivals. Former studio owner, semi-functional drummer and with a fairly good collection of old analogue synthesizers from the 70's. Indie rock, post rock, electronic/industrial and drum & bass (kind of a mix, yeah?) are usual stuff in my playlists but everything that sounds good will fit in.
