Portmonee: Hook-led post-indie by Berlin six-piece

J.N. June 9, 2020

Portmonee have proven time and time again that they can’t be put in a box, that they surpass genres and break boundaries. With latest single “Karma” they have a created a piece of indie pop art that bleeds into indie rock from time to time (or post indie as they prefer to call it). Our fav single, “Zu viel Love”, is guided by bouncy rhythms and a hook-led chorus of epic, post-indie proportions and promises more for the future of this band. And the future is close!

The Berlin six-piece are just about to release debut album “404” (July 10th) and hopefully we’ll hear more furious bangers and twinkly indie guitar noises. Keep your ears on Portmonee and put down July 10th in your calendars!

About The Author

Music researcher with an unhealthy passion for music and music festivals. Former studio owner, semi-functional drummer and with a fairly good collection of old analogue synthesizers from the 70's. Indie rock, post rock, electronic/industrial and drum & bass (kind of a mix, yeah?) are usual stuff in my playlists but everything that sounds good will fit in.
