The Bongo Club: Anthemic songs for Britpop nostalgics

J.N. June 2, 2020

In Mando Diao-crazy Germany four young lads from Borås, close to Gothenburg, Sweden, have started to make some noise in indie media. The four-piece released debut album “Anybody Have a Lighter” in 2018, a record described as pushing genre boundaries and “mixing up styles of music”, music “that will have you singing along on festivals”. Since their debut album, the band have released three singles, and their recently released single “Glorious” promises something extra for the future.

The Bongo Club have already toured extensively across Europe and performed in Portugal, Spain, Germany and the UK where the band’s homage to Britpop and influences from bands as Arctic Monkeys and Oasis should cause a stir in the on run.

Lads, we expect a detour to Hamburg on the next adventure in Europe! Just come and visit us!

About The Author

Music researcher with an unhealthy passion for music and music festivals. Former studio owner, semi-functional drummer and with a fairly good collection of old analogue synthesizers from the 70's. Indie rock, post rock, electronic/industrial and drum & bass (kind of a mix, yeah?) are usual stuff in my playlists but everything that sounds good will fit in.
