Slam Dunk South: A mecca for pop punk in Hatfield Park

J.N. May 10, 2019

We’re up for a pop punk, metal and emo weekend in Hatfield Park at the end of May!

Taking place in Leeds and Hatfield across the May Bank Holiday weekend of May 26th, Slam Dunk Festival puts up an amazing line-up with headliners All Time Low, Bullet For My Valentine, New Found Glory, NOFX and Simple Plan (and that’s only the headliners).

Born out a the iconic Slam Dunk Records label and the popular weekly night they hosted at the Cockpit venue in Leeds, Slam Dunk has now become a rite of passage for all rock, emo, punk, ska and metal fans in the UK. A staple fixture in the alternative music calendar, the festival runs over May 26th seeing the sites of Leeds and Hatfield being invaded by 15 000 to 20 000 fans.

Slam Dunk’s USP is officially “pop-punk, ska punk, hardcore and metalcore” but it stretches out to a few genre-breaking bands as well. And we’ll be there to cover it all!

Indie rock, post rock, electronic/industrial and drum & bass (kind of a mix, yeah?) are usual stuff in my playlists but everything that sounds good will fit in.
