Tennis System: Epic live shows by shoegazing LA band

J.N. May 8, 2019

Tennis System are not new to us, not at all, and the editor remembers a great LA gig at The Echo a few years ago when he just happened to end up at the venue after a work day. The LA three-piece have been around for a while and are already three albums into their career, and they’re well known for live shows that are nothing short of epic (and we’ve experienced that in the front row). There’s a reason why they’ve been dubbed one of LA’s best live acts.

“P A I N”, their latest EP released last year, is nothing but intense indie rock squeezed through filters of explosive shoegaze and post-punk. As Highwire Daze write “imagine an amalgamation of Ride and Fugazi, unleashing their auditory entreaties upon a world gone wild” – that’s what you get!

Take the day off and listen through their discography!

About The Author

Music researcher with an unhealthy passion for music and music festivals. Former studio owner, semi-functional drummer and with a fairly good collection of old analogue synthesizers from the 70's. Indie rock, post rock, electronic/industrial and drum & bass (kind of a mix, yeah?) are usual stuff in my playlists but everything that sounds good will fit in.
